You may email your request for additional information on services provided, outlines, questions and comments to contact@balmingileadnc.org.

We offer a variety of individual, marital, family and group counseling in areas such as abuse, anger management, anxiety, budget, child and adolescent behavior management, conflict resolution, depression, grief recovery, loss issues, marriage, divorce/re-marriage, spiritual confusion, substance abuse, and addiction.

Balm In Gilead Family Counseling Ministries is not a church, nor is it affiliated with any church or single denomination. We show no partiality and we do not discriminate based on race, religion, gender, or any other factors when welcoming both volunteers and those in need.

Balm in Gilead was called and established upon 2 Corinthians 1:3-4:

“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort: Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them in which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”

We are here to be “HIS” hand extended to anyone who is hurting.

Our namesake comes from Jeremiah 8:22:

“Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is there no healing for the wound of my people?”

Balm was the resin of the Storax tree that was used as an ointment for healing wounds. Thus, we have a Healer who comforts every sorrow and eases every pain.
